This felt completely unreal, this wasn’t something that happened every day and it certainly wasn’t expected to happen every day, yet alone ever happen, but Ciaran kept his thumbs hooked and nervously attempted to pull Tyler closer, if that was even possible. Blinking again, as if that would help him see things more clearly or something Ciaran looked up again at his best friend, blushing, though he was already, even more when they made eye contact.
He was about to reply to Tyler’s comment slash question when the sound of a girl singing at the top of her lungs suddenly filled the room. It was Cassandra. Oh crap, it just had to be her didn’t it, he should’ve locked the freaking door. Ciaran froze, not knowing what to do, his first instinct was to push Tyler of him, but that wasn’t needed as the other boy obviously had the same intentions and threw himself onto the floor. Staring at Cassie with absolutely no clue on what to say Ciaran felt his cheeks redden even more, he was going to over heat anytime soon, he was sure. His mouth opened and closed like a goldfish and he felt incredibly awkward. “...It's not true...” He muttered feebly, there really was no point in trying to deny anything, and Ciaran wasn’t even sure if he wanted to deny anything anymore. But he was still confused as to what he should deny exactly. Staying silent he clambered off the bed, still highly embarrassed, and occupied himself with finding a clean t-shirt to chuck on.

Cassie didn't know what to do. She stood, frozen in the doorway, her jaw hanging open as she gawked openly at her two friends. Worse, they were actually trying to deny the fact they'd just been all over each other. "What's not true?" she frowned, staring hard at Ciaran. "That you're both snogging the faces of each other, and Ty has a serious boner?" Cassie shook her head. There was no way in hell they could brush this off. "You can't seriously expect me to just let you get away with it. I want to know exactly what's going on."
It was bad enough that C and Tyler had been acting so weird lately- it had been clear they were hiding something. But this? How long had they been sneaking around behind her back, keeping her in the dark? If she hadn't have walked in just now, would she have ever found out about all this? Somehow, Cassandra doubted it. "C, c'mon. What is all this? I thought you were against the whole friends with benefits thing... and Tyler, what happened to "I'm not a fucking homo"? You guys better start talking, or I swear to god...".

Tyler couldn’t help the flush that returned to his face almost as soon as it was gone, although this time round it was more of an angry kind of blush. “What’s it to you what’s going on in my pants?” he snapped, snatching up his t-shirt from the floor and putting it on, feeling better now his flushed chest was hidden. “Nothing’s going on, we weren’t doing anything!” Tyler’s voice was close to whining, but he gritted his teeth and kept it out of such dangerous territory although with quite some difficulty.
It was fairly obvious that Cass thought they’d been sneaking around behind her back and that she now probably believed the stupid shit that had been written on the wall – which actually was one hundred percent true, dare he admit it to himself. “What do you mean ‘what happened’ to it?! I’m not!” Tyler spluttered angrily, getting up off the floor and clenching then unclenching his fists in an attempt to calm himself down. Sighing heavily he rubbed his face with his hands before glancing over at Ciaran briefly, and then back at Cass. “There’s nothing going on Cass, there’s nothing to talk about,” he said as calmly as he could, although there was still tension in his voice and his body. His blushing had gone done and the aforementioned serious boner had made a swift exit leaving Tyler feeling fidgety and unsatisfied.

Ciaran made sure to focus all his attention on glaring at the pile of clothes on the floor, as if he’d forget Cass was there, having just walked in on him and Tyler, and hoping he’d somehow turn invisible. It didn’t work, sighing he bent down and rummaged through the pile of shirts, half dirty and half clean probably. He pulled out a dark blue v-neck which he’d worn the previous day and preoccupied himself with turning it the right way, it was inside out.
His lips stayed sealed and he frowned as Cassie spoke directly to him, he really didn’t know what to say in return to her. “…It’s just not true” he answered, not even remembering what he’d first stammered out when she’d suddenly appeared in the door way. C let his hair fall in front of his face, well his fringe fell over his eye again, he didn’t bother pushing it back, hoping it would somehow hide his red cheeks or the fact that he was still completely embarrassed and just feeling awkward. Looking away from Cass as she stared at him, she could look pretty scary when she wanted to, Ciaran directed his gaze over at Tyler, and then decided that wasn’t such a good idea either. Still frowning he sat down on the bed and shrugged, “It’s nothing” as if that was a perfect explanation to what had just been happening, repeating what Tyler had just said. Although he knew it was something, and definitely more than nothing, “I… err… I still am against it… I mean… yeah?” Ciaran attempted to add, referring to her friends with benefits comment, but he had given up on explaining anything now. There literally was no way to deny anything. It was best if he just shut up now.

Cassie shook her head. This was too much for her to handle right now. Tyler and Ciaran. Tyler and Ciaran. No matter how many times she said it in her head, it didn't add up. Ciaran was so sweet and, well, not Tyler's type. She was panicking. What if things went too far? Ciaran was going to end up hurt; their trio would be in ruins. And even if nothing went wrong, Cassie was sure she'd become some sort of third wheel. Either way she looked at it, this was bad. And now they were trying to lie about it? There was no denying the fact they'd just been all over each other, and it was basically an insult to her intelligence that either boy was even trying to.
"Y'know what? I don't even care. Fucking FUCK each other already!"
The angry outburst even shocked Cassie, and her hands flew to her mouth the moment the words had gotten out. She didn't even know where it had come from. The tone in her voice had almost sounded jealous, which was ridiculous, of course. What did she have to be jealous of? She had Jared. He was like her own personal ray of sunshine- he was all she could ever have ever needed. So why did she find herself wanting to tear Ciaran's face off? Kind, Lovely, wouldn't-say-boo-to-a-goose Ciaran. "I...URGH. Do what you want." she grumbled, turning away.

“For god’s sake Cass!” Tyler yelled, his defensiveness melting into aggression as Cass got more and more angry. If Tyler didn’t know any better, he might have thought she sounded a little jealous. In fact ... Yes, Tyler decided that was it. The idea that he might be sleeping with Ciaran made her jealous. “You’re such a fucking hypocrite!” Tyler shouted, starting to pace agitatedly and wringing his hands. “What’s your issue?” he muttered folding his arms and looking over at Cass moodily.

"You want to know what my issue is?!" she yelled, "my fucking issue, is that i don't want you using Ciaran like this! If he ends up really falling for you, the three of us won't be friends anymore! it'll all change!! And then, you'll go and hurt him somehow. I'm not going to stand by and watch that happen, Tyler!" Cassie screeched, defensive. "What other issue would I have? I don't want my best friends getting hurt, alright?" There was more to it than that, of course. Cassie knew it, and she was pretty sure that Tyler knew it too. Ciaran was being too quiet, though. She couldn't read him.

Tugging awkwardly at his t-shirt Ciaran pushed himself further onto the bed and crossed his legs. He really didn’t want to be having this conversation, or argument, or whatever the hell the three of them were doing. He frowned and looked up at his two friends, taken aback by Cassandra’s sudden outburst. He opened his mouth to answer, then realised he didn’t have a comeback and if he did, it wouldn’t of made much sense anyway, besides Tyler seemed to have answered back perfectly capable without him, so he stayed silent, again.
He put his hands together, fidgeting, worse than he usually did, and frowned even more. It wasn’t helping that he didn’t even know what was going on himself, and neither did Tyler, and Cass was expecting an explanation from both of them. She sounded annoyed, or angry, and jealous. Ciaran could tell, but he wouldn’t say anything. Maybe she did like Tyler, then what about Jared. Oh this was all to confusing.
“For fucks sake!” He suddenly said, louder than he thought it would come out, looking up at them both again from the mattress he was sitting on, “Nothing is going to freaking change, because like… um nothing is going on” He breathed, glancing quickly over at Tyler, then focusing back on Cassie, “And I’m not going ‘to get hurt’, that doesn't even make sense...” He frowned, whatever she meant by that. Ciaran let out an aggravated sigh and got up from the bed, “Can you both just fucking leave, please?” He said, not meaning to sound so harsh, but he really just wanted to be alone, he needed time to think, if he would ever be able to think this out.

Tyler stared at Cass, slightly open mouthed. She was talking out of her ass; it was all complete shit! Tyler was shaking his head before it had even sunk in properly. “You know what, if I didn’t know better I’d think you were jealous” he taunted, grinning wickedly. Folding his arms defensively, Tyler set her with a hard glare, a smirk playing on his lips, trying to find some way to play the situation to his advantage now his fury – and his hard on – had worn off. “Jared not working out for you?” he continued, the malicious note in his voice playing loud and clear. He knew exactly why Cass was getting so upset by this. In any other circumstance, she’d probably think it was majorly cute, but judging by how worked up she is Tyler assumed she didn’t think it was cute at all. She was green with envy, clear as day. Rolling his head, he listened to his neck bones crack and rolled his shoulders as if getting ready for a fight. “C’mon Cass, don’t fret alright, there’s still plenty o’me to go around,” he laughed sarcastically, spreading his arms in a false surrender. I may be over using this quote, but it’s so true – Tyler Bradford is always up to something.
When Ciaran shouted for them to shut up, Tyler jumped slightly. Looking over at the boy, he frowned. Ciaran had never said anything so harsh to either of them. They were like, the best friends three and stuff like that. Why was he suddenly kicking them out of his room? Well, Tyler could make a good guess at that. Fidgeting his weight from one foot to the other, Tyler awkwardly glanced towards the door. He wasn’t exactly keen on going within attack distance of Cass, for both their sakes.

"URGH! No, Tyler. Just... fucking... NO." Cassie shook her head, stepping as far away from him as she could while staying in the room. She was angry. Not just because her best friends were sneaking around behind her back, or because it had taken her this long to see something in Tyler that she's always known but never quite noticed. She was angry because he knew it. He knew she was jealous, and he was using it against her. He thought this was just another joke, and that alone made her furious. "stay the hell away from me, all right?!" she yelled, moving to sit on C's roomie's bed.
The brunette pulled her knees up to her chest, not really caring that her shoes were making muddy marks all over whatshisname's bedsheets, and put her head in her hands. This was the first time since the beach she'd actually wanted to hurt Tyler, and only the second one ever. What the hell is going on with me? she thought, groaning a little. She could hear Ciaran in the background ordering them both out, but honestly, Cassie didn't think he was in a position to be making any demands. Neither of them were. "what the hell...what am I meant to do now? Just pretend like nothing's wrong? Act as if everything is normal?" she was looking up at the two boys now, asking them for answers again. Maybe this time she would actually get them, though it didn't exactly seem too likely.

Ciaran felt like pulling his hair out, shouting, vanishing or all three of them. He stuffed his hands in his drain pipes, he always did this when he felt either awkward or uncomfortable, and glanced from Cassandra to Tyler. Neither of them were particularly paying that much attention to him, he didn’t really mind that much, he just wanted to stop talking about the ‘thing’ Cass had just witnessed, because right now, it wasn’t helping anything. Ciaran wished they hadn’t of been interrupted, but then at the same time he wished it hadn’t even happened. Confused wasn’t even a word to sum up how he felt.
Sighing again, Ciaran fished his hands out of his pockets, and grabbed his phone from the bed where it had been left minutes before Tyler had entered his room earlier. He was contemplating just walking out and leaving his best friends ‘arguing’. It was hard not to listen to what they were saying though, and however hard he tried, Ciaran heard every word. Cass was jealous, she must be, but he didn’t really see why. Well, he did see why. But Ciaran all of a sudden felt guilty. “Guys…!” He repeated, still sounding annoyed, but he didn’t shout again. He bit his lip, not knowing what to say as Cassie seemed to shrink on his room mate’s bed, she looked angry and upset at the same time. ”Everything… everything is normal?” He said, although why he said that he had no idea, everything was far from normal at the moment. All three of them knew it. Shrugging, he added, "We can easily just go back to normal...?".

That’s when Tyler really exploded. He sort of took Cass’ comment a little the wrong way, but he exploded none the less. “For fuck’s sake I’m not screwing him can’t you see that you stupid bitch!?” the words that poured out of his mouth like something alien had taken over his brain and made him say things he wouldn’t normally say. Not in his wildest dreams – or are they nightmares? – would he talk to Cass like that. “What the fuck is normal anyway?” Tyler muttered angrily, fisting his hands and pushing them against his temples. His head was pounding with the irrationality of his thinking and he needed to catch it quick before he hit someone. By this time he was just about ready to hit the both of them. He started chewing on his sleeve angrily, grinding his teeth against the fabric and glaring at the wall ahead of him.
“What are you fucking talking about, C?” Tyler growled, glancing towards him. He was feeling quite repulsed that he’d just been sucking his face a few minutes ago. What was he thinking? It wasn’t right... Tyler was absolutely one hundred percent sure that he wasn’t bi or gay or anything other than straight yet Ciaran ... was different. Shaking his head and running his hands through his hair roughly, Tyler made his way to the door. “Whatever, just fucking whatever,” he sighed bitterly, wrenching open the door and raging out into the corridor. He needed to punch something really badly.

When C started denying that anything was different again, Cassie really wanted to hit him. How dare he say that, after what he'd just been doing with Tyler? Somewhere in her head, Cassie's blame had suddenly flipped so that it all fell onto Ciaran's head, and all her anger ended up directed at him. She had no idea how to vent it, though; she couldn't hit him, it wouldn't hurt if she did, and it probably wouldn't help. But something had to give. Someone had to get hurt, even if that someone was herself. It felt like a storm had been brewing for too long, and something had to happen to relive all the pressure. It made the air hang thick around them all, bearing down onto Cassie with too much weight for her to handle. She had to do something, she couldn't breathe.
When Tyler sudenly stormed out, she came crashing back into the room. Her search for an explosion was over. All she had to do was follow...
"Tyler fucking Bradford, fucking get back here now!", Cassandra screeched, breaking into a run as the door swung shut behind her, leaving Ciaran alone just as he'd asked, the bitch. Chasing after a raging Tyler was not normally something Cassie would recommend, and provoking him was even worse of an idea, but right now it was the closest thing she had to a plan, and she really needed to have a plan right now. "You can't just walk out, Ty!" the girl yelled, squaring up to him. If things went the way she expected them to, things were going to get painful soon. "You can't just waltz off without an explanation! Not again! I want answers Tyler, I'm not letting you treat me like this any more!"

Storming off like that had felt good, and Tyler felt like he could breath properly again. Maybe he’d even stopped breathing all together because Ciaran had stolen all the air in his lungs and then Cass had suffocated him. The heat in the room was just too much – he had to get out before he exploded. The sound of Cassandra’s voice shrieking after him was not a welcome sound at all. He paused in his stomping and turned to fix her with a steely glare. “Fucking watch me” he spat, before turning and continuing his rage towards the exit of the dorm area. He needed to get outside and maybe throw some rocks around. It wouldn’t be good for anyone if he started throwing his weight about inside. Someone – including himself – could get hurt. Not that Tyler particularly cared if anyone else got hurt. Nope, it wouldn’t faze him in the slightest if he accidently punched Cass in the face! Oh who am I kidding? Tyler would feel fucking awful if he actually purposefully hurt Cass, and Tyler was feeling increasingly unstable with every second he was faced with this confrontation. He was going to lash out at any moment, he could feel it.

"I'm not playing here, Tyler." she growled, grabbing him by the wrist and using what little strength she did have to force him to look at her. "I'm so fucking sick of all these games. You never tell me what you're thinking. We're the worst best friends I've ever heard of. Why won't you just fucking talk to me, you fucker!" Cassie screeched, and it hit her that she seemed to be doing a lot of venting lately, but she wasn't exactly sure why. It was like, up until the past week or so, all this stuff had been bubbling away under the surface, but once one explosion had been let out, they just kept coming.
And then, Cassie did something that she really hadn't expected to. She didn't even realise she had it in her until her clenched fist was smashing into Tyler's stomach. It would probably have been his jaw, if he hadn't been so much taller than her. Having to reach upwards to hit him wouldn't have helped much, but punching downwards gave her chance to use a lot more force. Nothing as impressive as Ty's display on the beach last week, of course, but it was still enough to be pretty painful. And she wasn't sorry.
